Alexanders musikalischer Startschuss fiel in den späten 90ern am Rande Berlins. In einer Zeit, in der sich elektronische Musik immer tiefer in dieser Region verankerte, blieb sein Ohr in den folgenden Jahren stets am Geist der Zeit. Immer offen für neue klangliche Einflüsse, ließ er sich in seinen Anfängen maßgeblich von „french- & dutchhouse“ masterminds wie „Marc Doyle“ musikalisch erziehen. Neben der Vorliebe für Disco-House schlummerte in ihm von Beginn an eine ebenso große Passion für treibende, perkussive und progressive Sounds. Dies schlägt sich auch in seinen Sets wieder, die stets ein gut ausgewogener Spagat zwischen „House, Deephouse & Techhouse“ sind und man als „catchy & groovy“ bezeichnen kann. Aktuell beschäftigt er sich mit dem Produzieren von eigenen Stücken und verbringt wann immer es geht Zeit im Studio mit befreundeten Artists wie Romeofoxtrott und Jen & Berrys.

Alexander started his musical carreer in the outskirts of Berlin in the late ’90s. During a time when electronic music established itself more and more in this region, he also kept his finger on the pulse of time in the following years. Ihlau was open to new sounds right from the start and his musical upbringing was not only influenced by Dutch and French house but also significantly by masterminds like Marc Doyle. Apart from his love for Disco-House beats, he also discovered his great passion for impelling progressive as well as percussion sounds.
His sound could be described as „catchy & groovy“. But what matters most to him is that dancers get carried away by the rhythm. This finds expression in his recent sets that always constitute a well-balanced mix between Deep and Tech House. He is currently working on his very own productions and spends as much time as possible in the studio together with his friends and fellow artists Romeofoxtrott and Jen & Berrys. It is interesting to see what new sounds will make it from the outskirts to the electronic capital in the future.
